Black Rock Garden Club members spent the better part of last Sunday morning weeding and sprucing up the Reading Garden at the Black Rock Branch. The Black Rock Garden Club has been instrumental in the creation and maintainence of the Reading Garden and we look forward to holding many events in the garden over the next few months – the highlight of which will be the the Black Rock Garden Party hosted by the Garden Club on Saturday, July 14th. It's that time of year again. Black Rock businesses need your vote. Vote online at Fairfield County Weekly Poll. Be sure to include your favorite Black Rock businesses. Here are some suggestions, please comment on this blog post, if we have forgotten any. Attached is a PDF copy for you to print out. Black Rock businesses are organized by the Fairfield County Weekly Categories. You must vote for at least 20 categories in order for your ballot to count. Only one entry per person. Voting ends March 21.
The 7th annual Black Rock Mardi Gras will be held on Saturday, February 18th at multiple venues along Fairfield Avenue, including the Acoustic Cafe, Neutral Ground, and Lulu's from noon until 10:30 PM. BlackRock Rocks Mardi Gras Celebration is a taste of New Orleans nestled in Bridgeport. A party with a purpose, this will be their seventh annual fundraising event. The party starts in the afternoon and goes well into the night.

Includes ingredients for preparing a healthy budget friendly French (with a touch of Italian) dinner which can be enjoyed with other class members or can be taken home (bring tupperware). Laminated recipe cards are included.
