Black Rock Garden Club invites you to "Party in the Garden" to celebrate the opening of the new Reading Garden at the Black Rock Branch Library on Saturday, July 14, 6-9 PM.  Raffle of floral arrangements.  Wine.  Hors d'oeuvres.  Live music.  Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue.  $20 per person or $35 per couple in advance.  Send check to  BRGC, 220 Balmforth Street, Bridgeport, CT  06605.  $25 per person or $40 per couple at the door.

Black Rock Garden Party - Save the Date

Black Rock Garden Club members spent the better part of last Sunday morning weeding and sprucing up the Reading Garden at the Black Rock Branch.   The Black Rock Garden Club has been instrumental in the creation and maintainence of the Reading Garden and we look forward to holding many events in the garden over the next few months – the highlight of which will be the the Black Rock Garden Party hosted by the Garden Club on Saturday, July 14th. The Black Rock Garden Club will host its annual Gardenfest at Harborview Market at 216 Harborview Avenue in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport on Sunday, March 18th at 3 PM.  Speakers are: Amie Guyette Hall, Health Coach and graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, with "Boost Your Health from a Square Food Garden Box," Anders Lindquist, Landscape Architect, Lindquist Landscape Design, with " Green Roofs: The Future of Landscape Architecture, and Milan Bull, Senior Director of Science and Conservation, Connecticut Audubon Society, with an "Expert Bat Chat: All About Bats and B
