The Bridgeport fireworks at Seaside Park are scheduled for Friday, June 27 at 9:15 PM (rain date is Sunday). Music will be simulcast on STAR 99.9 FM. The Bridgeport fireworks are visible from the shoreline from the Black Rock Yacht Club to Captain's Cove, but not along St. Mary's. The Fairfield fireworks, which are set from a barge off Penfield Beach are visible from St.
Thanks to an overwhelming response, a second screening of THE ACCIDENTAL MAYOR, a new documentary by award-winning filmmaker Larry Locke has been scheduled to benefit the Burroughs Community Center. The documentary chronicles John Fabrizi's years as the Mayor of Bridgeport and will be shown on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 7:00 P.M.
The Quick Start Language Center allows community members to learn a language at their own pace, on their schedule using laptop computers and Pimsleur software… for FREE! 14 languages are available for English speakers including Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Italian, German and more. English is available for Spanish and Portuguese speakers.

with local historian Charles Brilvitch and landscape architect
Stuart Sachs on Sunday, April 13. The tour leaves at 1:00 PM from the breakwater
leading to Fayerweather Island and is free for members and $5.00

Black Rock Garden Club Garden Fest today, Sunday at 3 pm. It will be at the Harborview Market. The theme is organic home gardening. We will also have MayanDreamworks selling garden stuff, Patri Fehrer selling her wonderful garden prints, and Bill Parker selling his terrific bird houses, and Happy Tails Pet Shop stuff.
