On Monday, July 9th, the Black Rock Neighborhood Revitalization Zone Committee selected officers to lead the effort for Black Rock’s future. With a forum present, the committee elected three officers to lead the effort along with the Zared Group, to initiate priorities for Black Rock as part of the City of Bridgeport’s Master Plan. The Black Rock residents elected were:

Recording Secretary: John M. Lee
The Black Rock NRZ Public Hearing on Saturday, February 9 begins at 8:30 am at the Cathedral of Faith Church, 2319 Fairfield Avenue
The Black Rock Neighborhood Revitalization Zone invites you to participate in a neighborhood workshop to create a vision for the Black Rock community on Saturday, September 15 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Cathedral of Faith, 2319 Fairfield Avenue. This is the second workshop in a three-workshop series to conduct strategic planning at a local level.

The draft of the NRZ bylaws will be voted on April 30 by the Planning Committee. Please feel free to make comments, the Planning Committee would like to hear your thoughts.

Community Economic Development Fund (CEDF) is seeking qualifications from
Neighborhood Planning Consultants or firms for a strategic action plan for the Black Rock Neighborhood Revitalization Zone (NRZ) located in Bridgeport, CT. CEDF is a state-wide non-profit organization with a two fold mission to build local capacity and economic growth within neighborhoods and promote small business development.

The initial meeting of the Black Rock Neighborhood Revitalization Zone (NRZ) was held January 29th at St. Ann’s Church located on Brewster Street in the Black Rock neighborhood of Bridgeport, CT.
