WrestleMania Reading Challenge Take the pledge to read. Join the Wrestlemania Reading Challenge!

Between Saturday, October 16, 2010, and Monday, October 25, 2010, pick up your WrestleMania Reading Challenge Pledge Form at ONE of our five library locations.

Tweens and teens in grades 5 – 12 will complete their pledge form by writing in the titles of five books or graphic novels that they pledge to read over a five-month period (between Teen Read Week and WrestleMania). They must complete their pledge form to be eligible to complete their competitive project.
Tweens and teens who want to be eligible to win a trip to WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta, GA, must complete the following project:

Grades 7-8 and Grades 9-12: Form a tag team of your favorite character from literature and your favorite WWE Superstar, and describe and/or illustrate on an 8.5×11-inch piece of paper the strategy you would use to defeat the current WWE Tag Team Champions (as of October 10, 2010). Teens may use art, drawing, collage, poetry and/or writing alone or in any combination in creating your project. All projects must be the original work of the individual teen. Only one entry per person.

Grades 5-6:Design a bookmark illustrating a slogan created by you that promotes reading. All projects must be the original work of the individual tween. Only one entry per person.

Projects must be turned in at the Library you are registered at by Nov. 15, 2010. The PBJC Library will judge all project entries in three groups: grades 5-6, grades 7-8 and grades 9-12 for each of our five libraries. Project winners will get a certificate and a prize.By November 20, 2010, PBJC Library will announce, via the Library’s website, the winners for each of our five libraries. Images of the winners work will be on display on the Library’s website for all to see. All projects that are turned in become the property of the Library, except for the winners work, which will be turned over the WrestleMania Reading Challenge.First Prize Winners, one from each grade group from each of our five libraries, will be sent, by the Library, to the WrestleMania Reading Challenge regional competition, no later than November 22, 2010.
