Tuesdays, October 1st - 22nd 5:00 – 8:00 PM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: Affordable Health Care Insurance Info. Do you need health insurance but don’t know where to start? Beginning October 1st, An Access Health CT Assister will be at the Black Rock Branch Library to answer your questions every Tuesday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. For more info call: 203-576-7025.

 

Tuesdays, 6:30 – 8:00 PM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: Free Computer Classes for Beginners. The Black Rock Branch Library is once again offering a series of free Tuesday evening computer classes designed for beginners. Wednesdays, 10:45 - 11:45 AM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: Little Rocks. Join us for our popular Little Rocks program for children up through age 3 with a caregiver. Thursdays, October 1st and 17th at 6:30 PM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: Gabe’s Black Rock Pokemon Club!This new club meets the first and third Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at the Black Rock Branch of the Bridgeport Public Library. Battle with your Pokemon cards. Share books, games, and all things Pokemon.  Free refreshments will be served. The Black Rock Branch Library is pleased to announce weekly meetings of the Black Rock Knitting & Crocheting Club. Thursday, October 10th at 6:00 – 8:00 PM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: A Special Education Advocacy Clinic. Special Education Advocate and founder of The Advocate with Faith Foundation, Faith Filiault will be holding a no charge advocacy clinic for parents whose children are receiving special education services at school (Individualized Education Plan or a 504 plan). Wednesday, October 16th, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: Food for the Thought: Our lunchtime book club meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1:00 PM. Tuesday, October 29th at 4:30 PM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents:  The 5th Annual Black Rock Halloween Parade & Neighborhood Block Party. Please join us for our premier event of the year, with hundreds of children and adults joining in the fun. 4:30 ASSEMBLE at Ellsworth Field. 5:00 MARCH to library with a mounted police escort. 5:15 MAKE MERRY! Thursday, October 24th from 7:00 – 8:30 PM PM, The North Branch Library, 3455 Madison Avenue presents: A Fall Concert with the Survivors Swing Band. “All the old melodies you once loved…and long to hear again” Remember when you listened, sang, and danced to the great old tunes of the 1920′s through 1940′s? Has it been a while? Let the Survivors Swing Band revive those memories for you and get your toes a-tappin’ and fingers snappin’ in the process! Do you want to dance, too? Get up and go for it.
