Tuesdays, 10:30 AM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: Mother Goose Yoga. Please join us for our weekly Mother Goose Yoga sessions. This program is designed for children 0 – 3 and their caregivers. For more info call: 203 576-7025.

Tuesdays, 3:30 – 5:30 PM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents:Skateboarding at the Rampage Skate Park. Teens and Tweens join us at the Rampage Skate Park and receive skateboard tips, tricks, lessons and safety tips. No fee! Permission slip (signed at the Black Rock Library) required. Wednesdays, 10:45 - 11:45 AM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: Little Rocks. Join us for our popular Little Rocks program for children up through age 3 with a caregiver. Wednesdays, 3:30 – 4:30 PM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents:Learn to Draw Comics. Image-based storytelling is a powerful educational tool. Comics are probably more able to combine story and information simultaneously, more effectively and seamlessly, than almost any other medium. Wednesdays, 3:30 – 4:30 PM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: Resume and Cover Letter Seminars. We are pleased to announce a series of one on one Resume and Cover Letter seminars. These sessions will be held on an individual basis and conducted by a library staff member. Time permitting our instructor will also introduce you to the many online job searching sites that can be found on the BPL web page. Thursdays, 6:30 AM – 8:00 PM The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: The Black Rock Knitting & Crocheting Club. The Black Rock Branch Library is pleased to announce weekly meetings of the Black Rock Knitting & Crocheting Club. Tuesday, January 7th 6:30 – 7:45 PM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: The Black Rock Mother Daughter Book Club. For girls in Grades 4 – 6 with their moms. For our January meeting we will be discussing the book: Turtle in Paradise by Jennifer Holm – a 2010 Newbery Honor Book.

Thursdays, January 9th and 23rd at 6:30 PM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: Gabe’s Pokemon Club!The club meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at the Black Rock Branch of the Bridgeport Public Library. Tuesday, January 14th  6:30 – 8:00 PM, The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: “WINTER SHORTS” A night of short films. Richard Anderson, long-time Black Rock-er and retired high school English Teacher, will host an evening of three short films which are guaranteed to tickle the funny bone and entertain. You will then be treated to the first public premier of Richard’s short film “If I Tell You” ©2013. Followed by a question and answer session. Approx. program length: 90 minutes. Light snacks and soft drinks to be provided. What’s the best thing about short films? YES! They’re short.

 

Wednesday, January 15th, 1:00 PM The Black Rock Branch Library, 2705 Fairfield Avenue presents: Food for the Thought: Our lunchtime book club meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1:00 PM.
