Fox Street Pedestrian Bridge - May 2012 Update

 

An RFP (Request for Proposal) has been sent out to do a feasibility study on a pedestrian bridge linking Black Rock to the new Fairfield Metro Train Station.  This would be an exciting development as it would create a more direct access to the train station from the southwestern section of Black Rock.  The Fairfield Metro train station would be within walking distance for many more Black Rockers as they could cross Ash Creek at the end of Fox Street.   

 

Fairfield Metro Station is Open

Regular train service began from the Fairfield Metro Station on Monday, December 5.  According to the MTA website thisis the first new main line station in Fairfield County on the New Haven Line in more than a century.
